If you have a good ladder and can see most of your roof from two or three areas then you should be able to make a pretty good assessment yourself. If you suspect there is trouble brewing then you might want to call a professional roofer to climb up there and do a proper inspection. If water is starting to get under the shingles then you will want to catch it before it gets away on you.
